how to I find out how many house tokens I have.

I know I need 16 but in the UI where do I find the number that I have found?

Close to your minimap. It won't track the individual keys with your book-finder trail, but it will keep count of how many you have.

The quest itself will tell you how many out of the 16 you need that you already have. You just need to be tracking the quest actively

you can look closely at the collection thing you've placed all of them in, in your common room, and count them 1 by 1

maybe in the quest log it'll show a number out of 16?
