People with RX 580
Please share your experience. Does this game run well for you? what settings do you guys use?

The reason Im asking because this game is UNPLAYABLE to me. Even in lowest setting I get 7-10 fps. Its so weird because first I thought my pc is the problem not the game itself but then I look on youtube and there is plenty of RX580 videos showing they manage to run this game even in medium setting. I played other games and they run normal (Witcher 3, Yakuza LAD, GTA 5)

IM SO FRUSTATED, I just want to play this game. The first area was fine with a few hiccup. But as soon I got to Hogwarts, hell. I spend hours in the setting trying to get a stable 30fps but still no luck. I no longer cant power through the "tutorial" as I realized I cant even do combat.

please, what can I do? do i need to upgrade my gpu? or it is other problem I need to fix.

ps: I also have done things like, updating driver, mods, bunch of other youtube tutorial etc. Still nothing :(

my specs:
RX 580
7 2700x
B450m steel legend
16gb ddr4 2133mhz
650w

I have a RX580 with a i7 9600k
Settings are a mix of med and high
V sync off ( my monitor has freesync )
Blur off
I get 50-60fps in hogwarts and 30-40fps when im near water and outside in general.

I did use this guide step two and it helped a lot

I also did this when i first started playing as i would get memory crashes , i don't know if it also helped with performance but worth a try.

Your RAM is running at 2133MHz you need to enable XMP or DOCP for AMD in your bios.

HL likes fast RAM not slow.

I have an rx580 and r3 3300x on mostly medium settings. I had the frame rate set to 60 fps with vsync on and was getting about 55 fps. I have a freesync monitor, so I set the fps to 75fps and vsync off and am getting a steady 70-75fps.
Running on a 12600k with 32g ram, rx580, all from a samsung evo nvme drive. Game runs perfectly fine in 4k with autodetected settings (pretty much medium preset).
Do you have the game on a HDD? That's pretty much a no-go on more and more modern games...

I#m at work...kinda hard reaching my computer from here...also dunno what recording would do to the performance...never tried recording in 4k...^^well, last time I recorded gameplay was 10 years ago...But I can try this evening...

The game runs flawless on high everything shadows on medium, apart from a black water issue that pops up randomly.. i'm on 1080p.
I'm on
Core i5 7500 3.4ghz
Rx 580 8gb
32gb DDR4 corsair vengeance ram
Crucial 1tb SSD.
Win 10
22.11.2 driver.
FSR off Bloom, motion blur, vignette etc, and the other motion sickness inducing crap i turned off though.

Game detected everything at low but i switched to High with no issues.

Yes its on my hdd, does that mean I just need to install the game on my ssd? i can afford a new ssd but if the problem still continue after buying it I'll definitely cant afford a new gpu :(

I noticed a lot of RX680 users here have 32gb ram. Do your ram is 32gb as well?
