XP is starting to get hard to get...

I'm at level 33. Fighting enemies has stopped giving XP. The battle arenas have stopped getting XP. I've found pretty much every page on the world map. XP is starting to get *really* hard to get and it's starting to get frustrating. How exactly do I keep leveling up?

you gain xp from doing your field guide challenges. not via defeating enemies.

I mean... you absolutely get XP from defeating enemies. Up until a point, anyways.

Do field guide challenges
Upgrade gear
Kill high level enemies
Catch beasts

It is pretty easy.

cap is 40 probably, but around 32+ it halts hard

you get xp from doing the field guide challenges related to defeating enemies. not directly from the defeating of enemies.

as the challenges complete as do the XP gains stop

Because you have a challenge "kill X ennemies of this kind", once it's done that's kind of ennemy stop giving xp.
Lvl 40 is max, and you can't be max before the end game since you need to almost have 100% of your book completed

Yeah you have to 100% your game to get max level(40) I just beat the game at lvl 38 & 1/2 & only have 4 side quest and minimal challenges left. Leveling slows down big time around lvl 32-34.

i saw not really a difference and i having alot unfinished.
just found out you can enter the south east region through the tunnel. :D
