I feel you. My "gold standard" is chamber of secrets, the ideal HP theme park far as I'm concerned.
So you can see how I am frustrated that:
- puzzles/secrets/passages are mostly soulless ctrl+c ctrl+v
- there's no house points
- there's no quidditch
- exploration is not rewarding
- no wizard cards
Those things meant a lot for me because I expected a great theme park first and foremost, not a take on Skyrim or GTA. A lot of compromises was made, and too many corners were cut.
In the end, I love HL for what it is, and I hate HL for what it could be. In order to consider it a great game I have to pretend that 20 years of gamedev did not happen.
100%. Surprised this topic is not on reedit or on forums. I get that gaming was not popular back then. I would want to know what percentage of hogwarts legacy players, played the original games. I would assume l3ss then 5%
Awful game was awful lol
