There is a way to learn the unforgivable curses at the end of the game in the undercroft, but only if Sebastian’s still there if you know what I mean

I find this perfectly fitting. You have to basically lie, willing to harm others even, just to acquire the knowledge and power. These spells take a requirement of intent to be able to cast. These steps in the quests make that step more forthcoming for the protagonist, if he or she even wants to learn it.

You must be willing to step outside of the morally clear choices, so to get something that is considered unforgivable. Sounds like a well placed unlock to me.

Spoiler: only read if you finished Sebastian’s questline

did you report him to the ministry? If you did then that’s why you can’t see him. But if you didn’t report him, did you make sure to go to the undercroft during the day time? Assuming he disappears at night along with the other NPC’s

If you beat the game you should of had Sebastian call you over for a chat
after that he will be in the undercroft talk to him to get the option for spells

if not then you picked the other option and he will no longer be available to you

banal in order for me to feel good as a perfectionist and get an achievement for skills, and try it somewhere, I don't want to waste another 20 hours of my life. And I don't want to play for a bad guy

The point of the curses is that to learn them you need to be bad.

Games can not be designed to cater to everyone!

As is, Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most inclusive games I could tolerate playing. Yes, ironically, a game that is designed to cater to more people doesn't cater to the more hardcore gamers. Point is, even as a highly inclusive, easily accessable game, it has to make choices at times which will be favorable for some and disafavorable for others.

Commenting about being unhappy with the choice is known as "crying about it".

Incidentally, I also think this particular choice in design- making morally objectionable choices a prerequisite to getting unforgivable curses sooner than later- is a really good choice.
