Dont get Xp for fighting or capturing animals

So as the title says, i used to get some xp before doing combat and capturing. Now i dont get anything at lvl 37 except doing quests. This a bug?

no that's not a bug. you only get xp from completing challenges and duel feats in combat

thats wrong, a few days ago i becom 10xp for kill a dog. only with the ground attack, no challeng or duel feats

You sure? Some times i get xp for it.. Is it a lvl that it changes?

You only get xp from things until you fully complete that things field guide entry then no more xp from that particular thing e.g. fully unlocked inventory means no more xp from all remaining merlin trials; same with capturing, and combat. The only way to gain more xp is to do the incomplete guide entries.

Things can also change based on current patch.

Ok, this might mean that i dont have anymore sources to gain xp then. Or enough to gain max lvl. Im pretty much done everything, without grinding mobs. I have been collecting from start, and got it pretty early maxed out. im 96% total done with the game.

If you have challenges completing Its a bug, I have one where I no longer see anything when I open a collection chest. Its still happening just behind the scenes.

Early on there's a pretty big guide page saying you only get XP for challenges.

Some of the challenges involve killing beasts of certain types. While those are incomplete, you will get XP for killing those beasts. This stops once the challenge is complete.

The level cap is a soft AND hard cap; you need to complete all challenges to get to lvl 40, or near as to make no difference.
