Broom trials difficulty level different for different players?
So I got a time way below the best time on the first trial. The send trial to beat is 1:95.65 seconds. Hitting every balloon and cutting the inside corner of each hoop, staying straight and keeping on the boost, I cant seem to get below that. My best is within a second of that, but spending 2 hours on it so far, I cant get the times its asking of me.

I see other videos of people doing the second trial and the times arent the same. On one of them, I saw as high as 2:25 to beat it, which would be fine. But it seems each person's time to beat is different? Is this based on the time you hit for the first trial? I tried setting difficulty to "story" and that doesnt change it. I dont know what im supposed to do here. Yes ive got the first upgrade.

Ive also seen a video of someone beating it in the 1:40's ballpark. But that person seems to have a much faster broom. At the beginning, the dummy / ghost broom rider usually pulls ahead of people, even following the same path it takes and boosting down to the first hoop. But this person pulled ahead of that ghost rider before even hitting the first loop. Just watching it, the broom feels faster than what I see in game on mine as well. What's going on there? Do different brooms actually have different stats instead of just visual stuff?

Is there a trick to this that im not seeing?

same for last race

Well, not easily, at least. I did beat the first broom race without an upgrade, but it took many tries. And yes, playing on hard. In fact, I don't know how people keep saying you need an upgrade first. For me, the upgrade quest-line required that I get first place before unlocking any upgrades, which is why I replayed the race until winning.

It didn't occur to me that it might be easier on lower difficulties, or I might have done that instead. Silly me.

Yes it's possible but it's way too close it's not worth the retries imo but well done and no you don't need to get first place to get the upgrade you just have to beat Imelda Reyes time

On hard, my times using mouse and keyboard:

Second broom upgrade, for the quest Sweeping the Competition: 2:22:80

Final broom upgrade trial: 2:34:89

---

For the second trial I had to practice for two hours.

The final trial only took me about five tries, due to all the previous practice.

You just need to take the time to practice.

Depending on your age, hand-eye coordination, reflexes, cognitive skills, and preferred control method, the race times will be different for everyone.

You can 100% get #1 on the leaderboard on the first time trial without the first upgrade. I did it with a speed of 1:32:05.

I literally cannot get the second one though (with the first upgrade, obviously). The boosts are way too far apart when you're on the last third of the course. They're too far apart and you can't make up the gap to beat the ghost at that point.

I play racing games. I know how to cut the inside line, I know how to fly straight to avoid turn deacceleration, I know how to prioritize diving to gain a small speed boost.

Anyone done race #2 with the first upgrade and get #1 on the leaderboard?
