Broom trials difficulty level different for different players?
So I got a time way below the best time on the first trial. The send trial to beat is 1:95.65 seconds. Hitting every balloon and cutting the inside corner of each hoop, staying straight and keeping on the boost, I cant seem to get below that. My best is within a second of that, but spending 2 hours on it so far, I cant get the times its asking of me.

I see other videos of people doing the second trial and the times arent the same. On one of them, I saw as high as 2:25 to beat it, which would be fine. But it seems each person's time to beat is different? Is this based on the time you hit for the first trial? I tried setting difficulty to "story" and that doesnt change it. I dont know what im supposed to do here. Yes ive got the first upgrade.

Ive also seen a video of someone beating it in the 1:40's ballpark. But that person seems to have a much faster broom. At the beginning, the dummy / ghost broom rider usually pulls ahead of people, even following the same path it takes and boosting down to the first hoop. But this person pulled ahead of that ghost rider before even hitting the first loop. Just watching it, the broom feels faster than what I see in game on mine as well. What's going on there? Do different brooms actually have different stats instead of just visual stuff?

Is there a trick to this that im not seeing?

I play on story and I zoom past the ghost easily on both the first and second trial, I haven’t gotten to the third one yet. Are you keeping boost active the entire time, hitting at least most of the boost refills? As for differing times, I can’t explain that unless it’s tied to the difficulty you start with rather than the difficulty it is currently. I think I had a 1:45 time or so on the first trial. I think the brooms go a bit faster if you are close enough to the ground to activate the infinite boost thing though. Except over water, or so it seems to me anyway. They always seem slower over water even with boost

That person you saw might have the Broom Upgrade that boosts speed.

Oh I forgot to mention, the yellow bubbles things give you a bit of a speed boost for a little while, if you didn’t know. (or is that what you meant by balloon? there are actual balloons you can pop dotted around the map in sets of 5 as well so i wasnt sure) Also, are you using the boost button or only setting the broom to "fast mode"?

I hit literally every bubble man... Not one is missed. Still way faster than my broom. Like how are people getting 1:45 in videos?!

And Mr.Hmm, read before replying dude.... I have the upgrade

I can’t figure out when I get the third trial and so on. I have the first broom upgrade and I did the second race and turned in the results but the broom guy has never got back with me about an upgrade.

You need the next upgrade if you want the top time.

There are 3 in total.

If you are playing on hard you won't be able to beat the best score until you upgrade your broom, it's made on purpose.

1st race you need 1 broom upgrade to be 1st
2nd race you need 2 upgrades.
same for last race

You can lean forward, not miss any of the golden bubbles, and the upgrades- they went back and did it again

Heres another thing I noticed... Imelda Reyes, the girl we're trying to beat, isnt even on the leaderboard. And the one in first place is Ruby Weil. Wtf?

You should probably learn to read yourself as you stated you got the first upgrade so it's normal you are not faster than the top score in the 2nd race.

People keep telling him and he keeps telling them to learn to read... LOL

Well, not easily, at least. I did beat the first broom race without an upgrade, but it took many tries. And yes, playing on hard. In fact, I don't know how people keep saying you need an upgrade first. For me, the upgrade quest-line required that I get first place before unlocking any upgrades, which is why I replayed the race until winning.

It didn't occur to me that it might be easier on lower difficulties, or I might have done that instead. Silly me.
