I liked the learning spell mini game. I would have also liked maybe a 'cooking mama' like mini game for potions. and maybe a little more viva pinata type stuff with the beast mechanic.
I would enjoy a potions mini game. It's surprising that using magic to unlock locks has a mini game, but potions do not.
To create an open world game were it's almost all Hogwarts, the school would have to be MASSIVE. I just don't see how that would work with this style of game.
Most likely because you can make potions yourself rapidly and i assume people would get sick of the minigame pretty fast if they just want to make like 20 wiggenweld potions.
Nevertheless I'd would like a Hogwarts game much more to be like a simulation, to be honest.
