ROFL.

You'll regret saying that later in the game, if you spend talent points on upgrading plants.

I'm level 35. Played the game for 97.4 hours. And I'm still questing.

However, to date, the toughest fights that I've encountered in this game, can be easily solved by deploying Chomping Cabbage and Venomous Tentacula.

It's like throwing a lamb in a river full of piranhas.

The Mandrake plant is also good because it wipes out shields, and stuns enemies long enough to watch a rerun of Happy Days.

well tbh potions are def op especially if you get the upgrades in all spells and core though i dont think core has an affect but maxima potion can break all shields with basic attack. pair with focus and you can quick shoot every spell while doubling the dmg output very quickly. even on hard bombarda will make very short work of groups

"drinks Thunderbrew"

"throws cabbages"

"spawns tentacula"

"wanders outside and whistles a happy tune"

*wanders back in to collect 12 spider fangs and a troll bogey"

Yea, but the alternative is way faster. Drink a focus potion then roll face over keyboard to clear the entire room within seconds. I've no idea about the actual numbers, but it's like 300% cooldown reduction that synergizes with itself.

tbh I rarely use potions. I enjoy the spell combat too much :)

I agree, I actually like the combat a lot too. Potions are real fun because they don't take away from it too much but god they're so overpowered.

Like the Chinese chompers (or something) just bounce around like balls of styrofoam while the enemies taunt you with lines like "lol what idiot uses a plant in combat?". Worst of all I think their mockery is warranted too. Even with the upgraded perk the Vines inflict barely any damage. They do randomly pop shields which is both nice and stupid, because it takes away one of the more fun challenges.

Meanwhile potions like Focus turn you into complete god-mode while the game journalist potion makes you literally invulnerable to damage. The damage boost potion is also absurd, even though I don't know exactly how much additional damage it yields - but it seems like a lot.

Lol, plants are useless?

Tell me you read a reddit post without playing the game without telling me

Yeah plants are useless. Plants are only the most op build in the game :) Nothing comes even close to dishing out the damage plants can in late game.

Plants are far from useless if you spec into them and apply Herbology III to your gear, Cabbages and Tentaculas will two shot everything in the game. I can imagine if you actually enchant your gear with the cabbage enchant (forgot its name) they would one shot anything.
