Jackdaw's Rest blocker - RESOLVED

Hey! I've encountered a blocker (i think? or am I doing something wrong?) during the Jackdaw's Rest mission.
I'm in hufflepuff, I have finished my expelliarmus lesson, and went about to the forbidden forrest. I went to the spot where I was supposed to meet with the ghost, I've waited using the prompt, his voice could be heard (as if he was there)... But he wasn't there.
There was an indicator showing where he's supposed to be standing, however no sign of him. I cannot load previous saves, as I was not saving.
Additionally - when I went out of the cave (finding the letter to the girl, he wrote years before) the camera was wonky - wasn't showing him, instead was showing the mountains, and the camera of my character wasn't - as usual - from up front, but looked like it was coming from the ground.
Any ideas how to get over that blocker?

UPDATE:
What worked for me was verifying all of the files on Steam. Hope that helped some of you as well.

I did not have this problem at all. I can tell you, that the golden circle should be there, if he himself is not leaning on the tree.

I would suggest that you go to the map, hit 'F' and travel in time to see if that works, or reload a previous save if possible.

same here, restarting the game didn't help

Try verifying files just in case, after that if nothing changed then try to pass time by opening the map and pressing F(I dont know which key it is for controllers).

For the record I did that quest both with Ravenclaw and Griffindor not problem.
Even though the Jackdaw quest is kind of be the one quest that is personalised for each house, they still all have it since it is a key main quest.
