terrible optimization
Optimization is a joke, impossible to play even on low quality. I'll have to wait until the problem is solved because there's no way to have fun with so much stuttering

If I enable DLSS and Frame Gen, I'm well over 140fps with little to no stutters. It's not a perfectly optimized game but it's a lot better than several recent AAA titles at launch.

bro 4080, that says everything and with frame generation. We are talking about people with weaker pcs

I requested a refund. After I played 17 hours of this game, I bought a new PC on February 14th. Downloaded the game again to the new PC and immediately ran into issues. "Out of video memory trying to render resources". There was no issue when I ran on the GTX 1060 w/ 16GB RAM. Now the RTX 4070 w/32GB RAM can't launch the game passed the epilepsy warning. I tried every advised fix. Updated drivers, resolution, graphics card controls, no extra programs running, raising paging file size on RAM etc...... I am out of fixes. My game play time reads 21 hours now from all the time I spent on the epilepsy warning screen trying to get the game to work.
The 4070 and Ti is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ card my dude the TI It was lunched at the 4080 at 1st and then they pulled it as it had issues and then just Give it the rename of the 4070 Ti but in fact it is one and then same a broken card https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDRIzS3sGIU If there willing to do that to this card just how good is the 4070? Also if your 1060 play the game just fine then there may be something wrong with the build you have now. Try to put you 1060 in to test it out. If it plays fine then you know it your card. Also the game does need to be Optimized

It depends of your rig, i have no problem with my 5950X and my 4090 in 4k, RT on, and everything max. I have 90 fps minimum.

If your GPU is a 3060, or a 2060, it's normal to need to run in low quality, it's an open world with lots of interactions and animations.

But it's right, the optimization is not very good, but it's a problem with all the recent games on Unreal Ungine 4.

funny how people with 10 series gpus complain about lag when their gpu is outdated beyond belief.

See this is what I dont get. I have a 4090 too but instead a 13900K. My performance with RT on is absolute dogsh!t and mostly below 50FPS. Only with Frame Generation its smooth but the usual stutters are still there. I am not even on 4K, I am on 3440x1440. So you must be either lying or the game doesnt like intel CPUs.

bro 4090 has frame generations and is the most powerfull card we get it, 3000 cards don't have it and of course you can play on 4k ok. But it's not ok to not being to play with 3080 and 3070 ti cards on 1080p or 1440p without issues.... with frame generation 4000 cards can pull out really good performance but there are some issues in the game regarding gpu usage which is why 3000 cards can't play without stutter

Ran initially on a 5700xt with no trouble, finished on an RX 7900 xtx, also no trouble.

because radeon cards have no trouble regarding gpu usage like nvidia cards do

No need of a insane expensive 4090 when you can get the same results on a 800€ rx 7900 xt...

Yeah i understand you, i literally bought a new pc that i built yesterday, i used to have a 1070ti and a old amd processor and on low settings it was still unplayable. But it isn't just Hogwarts that's like this. Most new games will require you to upgrade your pc. Got a 3070 now and a i7 12700 and it runs like a dream.
hgm1 Feb 18, 2023 @ 11:28am
game runs smooth and fine in ultra with my old RTX2080Ti. No problems.
StardomPlays Feb 18, 2023 @ 11:30am
Yep. All of my friends on PC are having issues. The game still suffers from horrid performance issues despite the 2 "performance" patches.
