Sitting, Sleeping, Waiting

Is it possible maybe in a further development for our character to be able to sit? Why give many interesting seating possibility (in the class, in the great hall, or out and about around the world) and we can't even sit back and appreciate the surrounding? An absolute crime. Also, I would like to see the common rooms to be more alive! as in, where do everyone go at night?? no notes, bed empty! Last but not least, the waiting mechanism in the game is super awkward. When there is a quest where you have to wait, you will then be seen standing up from being seated on the floor, and these locations are awkward, like in the Hogsmeade centre, Mr. Fig's classroom, etc. I'd much prefer us to just be seen standing ready tbh.

Honestly, I thought there was a simple mechanic to lay in your bed, fade to black and it be morning... I figured it was a long shot though so I am only mildly disappointed. I noticed the lack of people in the common room at night and found that somewhat creepy. I was also thinking maybe instead of sitting or standing around, your character would lean against a wall or get up from a nearby chair to start missions. I would also like the ability to sit in a chair, perhaps even a feature where your character remarks "I can't sit around right now" (or something similar) when you try to sit while on a mission.
It would be such a minuscule feature which would breath that much more life into the game. at least I would think.
