Arachnophobia mode
Is there some arachnophobia mode? I didn't find it. It seems to me strange, that this game has a great accessibility settings, but no basic arachnophobia mode (which I always use in lower-end, cheaper or older games...) I am still at the beginning but already had 3 fights with spiders and it seems to me, they are everywhere in the forest and they will be the whole game. Not cool.

Yeah, I'm sure it breaks immersion pretty harshly, but my gf just pretended they were enchanted sentient shipping crates attacking her.

Overcome your fears
Very helpful, but it is not game mode, right?

OP ever had a spider web down from the ceiling and land on your hand as you are playing a game? Good ♥♥♥♥.

Genuine question but what games do you play that have an "arachnophobia mode" in them? I have been playing videogames since the mid 90s and have never known a game to have such a mode?

"Grounded" is one that comes to mind, since you fight big spiders in that game.

Grounded, Satisfactory, Webbed (yes, a game where you literally plays AS a spider, has an arachnophobia mode) come to mind, But I'm certain there will be others.

Grounded I can understand but why would you have an arachnophobia mode in a game where you ARE the spider. I mean, most people who are afraid of spiders wouldn't want to be spiders in the first place :P

yeah, I have several games with arachnophobia modes and the like in them. Satisfactory turns them into cat gifs lol. That said, and probably my ignorance of said phobias, but I thought it was more about encountering the real thing cuz ugh, icky things I don't want near me - and sure, I'm far from fond of them either, if they're crawling across my bed... they have far too many legs and eyes and are clearly extraterrestrial in nature - but animated ones in a game? happy to blast them to bits in revenge for their rl counterparts! :p

Continued exposure to a phobia eventually lowers it's impact.

I'd love a cave to explore and survive like Hagrids pet lives in, in the movie.

But the mod mentioned above should fix the issue.

Does this mod affect achievements?

Seems silly to have a fear of a video game pixel. I can kinda understand it in your daily life. But in a game?
