Yeah, I'm sure it breaks immersion pretty harshly, but my gf just pretended they were enchanted sentient shipping crates attacking her.
Genuine question but what games do you play that have an "arachnophobia mode" in them? I have been playing videogames since the mid 90s and have never known a game to have such a mode?
"Grounded" is one that comes to mind, since you fight big spiders in that game.
Grounded, Satisfactory, Webbed (yes, a game where you literally plays AS a spider, has an arachnophobia mode) come to mind, But I'm certain there will be others.

Grounded I can understand but why would you have an arachnophobia mode in a game where you ARE the spider. I mean, most people who are afraid of spiders wouldn't want to be spiders in the first place :P
Continued exposure to a phobia eventually lowers it's impact.
I'd love a cave to explore and survive like Hagrids pet lives in, in the movie.
But the mod mentioned above should fix the issue.
