Stories Are Very Disappointing (Spoilers)
I really enjoyed my time with the game, but the stories have been pretty boring for the most part. I enjoyed the dragon fighting ring and a few other moments here and there, but those moments were few and far between. Mostly, I was enjoying the world, characters, and combat.

There was one exception though; Sebastian's story. I was hooked right from the get-go. However, the ending was just way too disappointing. I anticipated a dark conclusion, but it really fell flat. Anne is still alive, yet we've completely given up on curing her. Sebastian somehow grows a conscience despite showing no signs of one after having Kedavra'd his uncle. It feels half-baked.

Still better than Natsai's ending where she "saves" the god-like main character by jumping in front of a Crucio, and is then hospitalised for who knows how long. I've already taken a Crucio at point blank range by the most deranged character in the whole game and I was fine two seconds later. No, you still suck as a character, Natty, and "saving" the main character won't change that.

Thoughts?

The whole point of Sebastian's story is to give the player a way to learn Unforgivables, hence it's designed around that, sometimes leading to comical situations like "you just killed your uncle, teach me your ways!". Which still makes it better than other stories which lack any point at all, with no spells or mechanics associated with them. I haven't finished Natty's or Poppy's - just not compelling enough for me.

Beautiful world is the game's strong part, but everything to do with bringing that world to life is lacking.

However, combat is one of the few things that's surprisingly decent and not shallow, owing that to spell combinations and unique tricks one can pull on enemies like exploiting their weaknesses or turning their attacks against them - which is something that makes me forgive the nonexistent enemy variety.

Yeah, I just wish they put a bit more effort into making the stories more memorable. It feels like such wasted potential considering I was hooked for a good chunk of it; Sebastian's story that is, everything else was very bland. Combat was surprisingly fun as you said.
