Permanently set appearance

Is there a setting some where that stops appearance changes when you equip items?
Its sort of annoying to set my appearance to what I want every time I put on an new item

I don't think so. Don't think I've seen a mod for that either. Maybe find some mod community and see if you can find anyone who could make that so. (Or maybe I overlooked it when going through available mods yesterday).

When you hover over your equipment in the gear menu, you should see (under the description) instructions to press F to set the slot appearance.

Hexenhammer knows that. That's his point. He finds it annoying to do that every time he changes gear. That appearance is per item and not per type. So if you change gear, you've to re-set the appearance

Then thanks for pointing out that he knew the answer to his own question, I guess. There are a lot of dumb design choices in the game.

Double edge sword, this is the option that made it through. If it took over the whole set people would be annoyed they'd have to keep taking the appearance off just to see what the new item they got looked like.

Okay. I was just wondering if there was a way to lock an appearance once it was set and I had just missed it.
