Yes. Perfectly fine. Here is a great video. Seems like itll hit your 1% lows, but thats it. Performance is the "same" from 8 to 32. (nobody in here knows what they are talking about, but I am here to help)

I also fixed RT Ultra on 3060ti or greater, just check my posts.

Yep you will be fine. I recently upgraded from 8 to 16 and it has played fine with both.

50/50 honestly

with this game some machines run it fine and others have a stutter fest.

1- This is the devs requirements

2- Not all 8 gb is made equal

3- Yes VRAM is more important

Even so, you're gambling trying to run it with 8 gb and there's really no reason to. One shift at McDonalds will buy you a 16 gb, 3200, Dual Rank, Dual channel kit.

I don't think the average person should take advice to run it with 8 gb.

Are you a former dev and systems analyst? Do youhave permanent A+ certs? N+ certs?

Stop talking thanks. People like you are ruining this for everyone, and its not localized to this game.

TimmyP and Lust thank you for the response, why people have to write a comment talking about how cheap Ram is a little frustration, I have a laptop which I spent a lot of money on I just wanted someone to explain how it works not how cheap it is to buy more ram. Thank you I'll give it a try

Max your ram for your system if you can. Minimum requirement for the game is 16gb and i know from personal experience that you will get better experience with 32gb.

Always remember to update drivers and so on too.
Oh and never mind the rude people in here.
Good luck.

works fine with low settings with me with 8 GB ram.

have an intel i5-10500H for cpu and Geforce GTX 1650 for gpu.

this site sums up how powerful a cpu or gpu is

nexus mods has a mod that helps it run on low end. search for potato in the mod title. just refund quick if it doesn't work

Now I'm wonder how it Hogwarts Legacy will be run on my PC SPecs :

CPU : Intel Core i5-4460 3,20 GHz.

RAM : Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 MHz (4x4GB) 16 GB RAM.

GPU : ASUS GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER Phoenix OC 4GB GDDR6.

System Disk SSD : Crucial BX500 960 GB.

OS : Windows 10 Home.

Hybrid Disk SSHD : Seagate FireCuda 2TB.

Gaming Screen : ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QL1A 27"

Yeah. I know. Old CPU.

Maybe someday I'll finally buy better CPU.

You don't "upgrade" a laptop, it's not that easy. Integrated boards and all that.
OP didn't add anything about VRAM as well which is just as important, though if they have 8Gb RAM then I suspect their GPU is not great and the game likely won't "run". It'd be luck if it crawls.

Uff.. no, I wouldn't recommend it. You could probably try making it on low setting, no RT and all that. Maybe something on medium if you're okay with stutter, freezes and crashes. But honestly I'm not sure you'll get it working.

OK, Running Smoothly, on Medium at 60 FPS/1080p.

No Stuttering, No Crashes.

Everything Smoothly.

On a laptop even with ram upgrade I would expect to be playing at low. This game is VERY VRam hungry and that seems to be the biggest limitation on it.
Kitty Apr 20, 2023 @ 9:52am
Of course it will run, don't listen to people who tell you to upgrade 16/32gb ram, I used to play HL on my low end laptop with 8gb ram on Medium/High settings without stutterings.

Most people complain that the game runs badly for them, and let's point out that these are people with RTX and 32gb ram :s_xd:
ULTRA Apr 20, 2023 @ 9:52am
Do not try to play this with only 8 GB of RAM, haha. It's poorly optimized for 2023 and mid-range laptops have had 16 GB options for the better part of a decade if not more.
