the mysterious fourth flying beast

those who have completed most of the game are already aware that in total we are given 4 mounts, one of which doesn't fly. however, when opening the menu and switching to the character editing category, when we want to change the flying beast, there are 4 cells in total, three of which are occupied (two hippogriffs and a thestral). does anyone have any idea what the fourth cell is?

Maybe a 2nd Thestral color?
I didn't bother hunting for one but beasts have "+" versions with unique colors.

nah. I've already caught a few thestrals. the menu shows only one, which is given for the deluxe edition

There's only one way to find out. We have to try and mount every creature in the game.
It could be a Goblin Assassin or Poacher Animagus.

There's a dragon that circles the map, but I have yet to actually catch up to it. I thought the mini dragon that flies over the game map was a decoration at first, but it swooped down over the Black Lake while I was exploring...
A dragon mount would be interesting.

as for me, to ride a dragon, you either need to wait for talented people who are ready to make a mod for a dragon mount, or hope for a dls, maybe? but this is just a guess, maybe they won't bring dragons at all, even as inhabitants of the vivarium

horned guy? =the thestral? I presume you have to catch that flying dragon in the game as the 4th mount? Fyi, i did see a player flying a dragon, maybe it was a mod? or a yt video?

yea, thestral, i forgot the name. dragon, that flies around the map can't be catched. dragon mount is mod

Maybe future dlc or a twitch drop reward, like in the latest patch notes they added support for new twitch rewards, no idea when those will appear.

Or maybe it's a mistake as they thought someone heard players would have 4 mounts, but the last mount ended up having their own slot separate from the flying mounts.
So could be just a remnant code that has no use now or in the future.
