The broom camera is so frustrating.
I can't go through the hoops very fast because of the difficulty keeping the camera aligned with the broom. Please, Please, Please add a hotkey or controller button that locks and unlocks the camera directly behind broom so it follows the brooms alignment.

Try to invision a dot in the center of your screen and use that to fly.

Second this, the camera makes control a nightmare

I gave it some further thought and figured that if you stop moving your camera controller then it snaps to always look in the direction the broom is pointing. Then no complex toggle is necessary. when you want to look around just moving the camera control will make it happen. Just stop fidgeting with the camera control for a selectable time and it defaults to follow player.

For mouse users, holding 'W' keeps pointing the broom towards the camera center. Now we only have to fight with climbing and descending keys since the camera is locked on a horizontal plane.

I remapped my right mouse button unused in Mount to alternate descent. Helps a little by making less for the left hand.

Flight control is simply garbage, in my opinion... we all have a controller that offers x and y axis, why isn't the y-axis used for flying? Flying is a chore, I'm really happy that the story mode lets one cheat after the second screwed up flight, so I don't have to suffer this stuff again to get a bit speedier broom...

I tried various configurations but it comes down to either the camera not working or constantly chasing the right angle with my mouse as I try to fly with my left hand. If you map camera and turns to same keys then it will overshoot and you end up looking sideways, if you leave camera alone then you will have to use mouse to keep it straight or it will again aim sideways.
Ill look in to mods I guess. if there was a option to fly purely with the mouse than that would be great.

The best way i found to make the three races is to slave alternates in a numpad. You slave the alternatives of W and S, and Climb and Descend next to it, using mouse for left and right. Without a chase camera it is the best you can do. Also placing camera FoV -20 in options may help some people

There is also a mod that gives the mouse control up and down. The regular keys for up and down also work, but it gives more control. Still, the perspective makes it real easy for me to undershoot or overshoot the rings.
