Ray tracing PS5 and PC
I just saw some video on PS5 with Fidelity Mode on, RT looks amazing while RTX 3080 10Gb struggled to pulled out. is the Console much stronger than the card, or my whole PC? just curious, should I just give up and get a console..... I got:
ryzen 7 3700x
rtx 3080 10Gb
32 G ram

i just upgraded from a 3070 to a 4070ti and i can see the difference to be honest i think its a optimization issue.

The PS5's ray tracing mode is 1440p 30fps with drops into the low 20s on lower than ultra settings. The 10GB 3080 averages close to 50fps on ultra settings.

The 3080 is roughly twice as fast as the PS5's GPU and it shows in this game.

playing with ray tracing on console is horrible choice anyway

Ps5 is not really powerfull, especially not in comparison to PC, it will run the game better though as Hogwarts Legacy is a pretty bad console port for PC, lots of people even with specs way higher than needed for 4k gameplay of it often cannot run the game or it stutters as the game does not handle high fps well, and is operating best at console native 30-60fps.

Your specs are enough to run this game 4k 2 times over, it's just that performance on PC was botched to oblivion for this game.

lol don't talk about things you don't know anything about. The 3080 is borderline for 4K 60fps in new games in general and the consoles run the game far worse than good PCs do. Their fidelity setting is 1800p on a mix of medium/high settings and drops into the 20s. The ray tracing mode is 1440p with the same settings as the console's performance mode (mostly medium settings on PC) with ray tracing added and drops into the 20s.

The consoles also have a 1080p ultra high performance mode that averages close to 90fps.

It’s more powerful than average pc on steam tho

RT on all settings ultra or maxed. Pegged at 60 fps with vsync on. No drops. Must be special.
3080ti
edit...if you put a 3080 on crap...bottleneck someplace.

The PS5 runs the game about as well as the equivalent on paper PC hardware does

Dude, part of my income comes from producing PC parts, no need to be prick to people everywhere, especially when You might be the one being ignorant. There are mods alredy that fix performance better than updates we got giving people much more fps and stability, not to mention non-denuvo version on top of that, that empress alredy made which boosts performance by about 50% on top of these fixes. With all of the above combined You can roon this game in 4k on a potato as graphics in HL are not demanding at all. When it comes to new games in 4k overall then yeah, You won't hit 144fps, but not many people feel a need to have that so it is strictly subjective. There are close to no games not running on 60+ fps on that card.

Anyone can claim anything on the internet, you don't actually know what you're talking about though. I have a 3080 and there are more than a few games that don't average 60fps at 4K without dropping settings significantly, including most recent AAA games.

The rest of what you said is just made up, the cracked version of the game absolutely does not run 50% better, and in fact there is zero proof that there is any performance difference at all as of right now. Even if it did improve performance by 50%, which it most certainly does not, you would still need an RX 6800 or RTX 3080 at the minimum to average 60fps on high/ultra settings since they average ~40fps and ~50fps respectively. The 3070ti is memory constrained and averages in the 30s and the 6700XT and 2080ti are both compute constrained and average in the 30s.

Most of what You're saying is easly disproven by providing those:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-uHfybv_tw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh8H9G1oUJE
There is literally dozens of these.

As for what You're saying I ''made up''

https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackSupport/comments/112jens/hogwarts_legacy_crack_status_update_from_empress/

I encourage You to read the above talks about non-denuvo version cracked by empress, It does seem like You have not tested it personally like myself, so it is just a garbage uneducated opinion it that case.

I don't really care for arguing with people like You, neither I think I would convince You in any way judging by Your previous posts showing inability to take an L, but what You write is unproven by anything, Your arguments are just based on Your experience, if true to it at all and disproving all of it is banal with couple of links. For all I care You might call me a liar, an idiot or whatever You like, but You're just making an argumentative fool of Yourself at this point.

The default rt quality in this game isn't that great but can be improved considerably with simple ini file tweaks.

Lol those videos show several games averaging under 60fps at 4K. But games like AC Valhalla, Forspoken, Cyberpunk, RDR 2 with the advanced settings enabled, Dead Space remake, Dying Light 2, Control, Halo Infinite, Total War Warhammer III, Warhammer Darktide, A Plague Tale Requiem, and even stuff as old as Watch Dogs Legion all average under 60fps on the 3080 on ultra or mostly ultra settings. That is a significant number of new AA and AAA games. Here are a few examples, feel free to look up the rest:

Darktide averaging under 60fps: https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/warhammer-40k-darktide-pc-performance-analysis-ray-tracing-benchmarks/

Dead Space remake averaging under 30fps: https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/dead-space-remake-pc-performance-analysis/

Cyberpunk, Watch Dogs Legion, Total War Warhammer III, AC Valhalla, and more all averaging under 60fps:
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asus-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-tuf/30.html

There hasn't been a single actual verifiable instance of performance improving by 50% like you initially claimed by bypassing Denuvo and literally nothing in that link you posted provides any evidence whatsoever of any tangible performance improvements with the cracked version of HL.

Ray Tracing feels like a scam at this point to sell new cards. 2080 Super here at 1440p. average 100fps but with RT on I drop to 20-30. That level of performance hit is pathetic for what you get out of it.
