Don't know if I got lucky with the Unicorn hunting or its normal RNG

Just gained the ability to hunt for beasts and only took three tries get a male and female unicorn. Hoping this is normal RNG so the breeding achievement is not too hard.

most beast dens have more than 1 present, so getting a pair isn't all that difficult. Off the top of my head only 2 of them spawn 1 at a time. unicorns also only took 3 tries, and the other beastie took 2.

Since there are only the 2 options in game, it shouldn't take too many coin tosses to get a breeding pair of unicorns.

The den I went to only had one spawn at a time for Unicorns, so was unsure. Even read comment on a video asking if males never spawn because he had 12+ females but still no males.

i was flying around saw the symbol for beats and flew down and grabbed it straight away didn't know i'd caught a unicorn until it's name appeared onscreen

me too, but turns out it is gold and they seem to only have 2 colors
