So why even use spells if you can use plants

When I saw the upgrade for my gear that my plants deal more damage I had to try it and ohh boy. Avada Kedavra is like a basic attack against your Chinese Chomping Cabbage of doom and your Venomous Tentacula of destruction. Rocking 6 level 3 upgrades really makes them oneshot any basic enemy on hard.

With the two skills, where you throw two cabbages at a time and your Tentacula being able to break shields you can just cloak yourself throw them and wait. It is also no investment, you get legendary gear with Tier 3 slots constantly and it takes one material only to put on.

You can also grow them so efficiently, I have 6 cabbages growing all the time fertilized so i can completely restock if I need to, every 15 minutes. Same with Tentaculas where I got 4 growing at all times, also fertilized.

Plants are a bit OP late game with all the upgrades. [Especially the level 3 gear upgrades...] A combo of all three plants with a Thunder potion makes quick work of large groups.

With my upgraded gear, I'm able to oneshot almost every enemy with direct damage spells or thrown objects. It's not that the vegetables are good, specifically, it's that the late game is just super easy no matter what difficulty you're on.

Because its annoying to refill your stock of plants after every few fights? but yeah if you don't mind this then its certainly a very viable way to go.

Because defeating enemies with cabbage is embarrassing for everyone involved. Hell, the enemies might be the lucky ones - at least they won't be alive to remember it and cringe.

you get spell damage upgrades as well. everything does a ton of damage. i choose spell upgrades over the plants.

clearing large groups is simple later in game. cursing a whole group and then killing all of them.

or one of my more favorite combos is freezing them, then cutting them into pieces.

They are too strong, that's why they are on my nuke list.

I only deploy them against enemies with a trillion health. So that I'm not fighting for fifteen minutes against an enemy that I'm inevitably going to beat.

Such a missed opportunity to not let the player utilise Devil's Snares. Every Herbologist should have some in their trunk.
