my whole game reset????

I went to go load up my game today like I normally do and it had me go through character customization and startup settings and all my save files are gone and I cant access my character Ive been playing for 30+ hours????

google it. a lot of people are reporting a save wipe but there is supposedly a way to recover it if you dont make a new character.

Happened to me as well today, but not just HL, pretty much ALL of my steam games have this problem

you guys are crazy.. just make sure to make a savedata backup in, AppData\Local every day

I finally found a fix that worked for me on Reddit using the appdata save file, what I was doing wrong originally was not keeping the game open when I transferred the old save and not reloading the save at the correct timestamp. It does keep the newer savefile name so it was confusing.
