[Spoiler] Astronomy Table Constellations Don't Show [Bug]
I’ve been having a heck of a time trying to figure out the Astronomy tables.

The first one I used for the tutorial made my controller shake when I got close to the right stars with the overlayed diagram.

But since then, no vibration while using Astronomy tables. ALSO… I just watched a YouTube video, and the stars for the constellation were bigger and shined brighter. Wtf?!?! Mine have never shined like that. It made it so obvious and such an easy mini-game. But mine doesn’t work that way!

I’ve been having to switch the game to “Story” difficulty so I get the prompt to skip the Astronomy table mini-games. But I’d much rather do them as intended.

Anyone know how to fix this bug?? I searched Reddit and someone said they deleted their “local files” and that fixed whatever issue they had. What local files???

TL;DR: Stars don’t shine for constellations. Looking for fix.

EDIT: FIXED.

Turn Bloom back on in your Engine.ini settings.

Under [/script/engine.renderersettings] you should have:

r.BloomQuality=5

The 'local files' being referred to are probably the configuration files for the game, located at

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

For this location to be visible in windows, you have to enable the option to show 'Hidden Items'.

If you have not edited any of the 'local files' [and arent using any mods that alter them], your graphics settings might be too low for the constellations to 'glow' properly... I saw it mentioned somewhere that disabling 'Bloom' via .ini file would cause the issue described, though I dont know if it is possible through the in-game options alone.

It was bloom.

For anyone else having this issue:

Turn Bloom back on in your Engine.ini settings to fix this.
Under [/script/engine.renderersettings] you should have:

Yeah, I'm really glad someone on Reddit was able to help me.

You can add it yourself. At the bottom.
