Can't start/complete quests

The game has bluescreened my laptop twice today. It's never done that before. It brought other issues to my laptop, which were thankfully resolved.

But now I have another issue: I cannot talk to people to either give or complete quests. The game still tracks the quests but whenever I approach the person to start/complete the quest, either the option to press F comes up and when I press it it doesn't do anything or it doesn't come up at all.

I've:
- Restarted the game
- Tried to get some Merlin trials I didn't get or some pages I didn't get to see if it would trigger (this worked before when the waiting option was not available in the Map)
- Changed the "Interact" key binding
- Verified the integrity of the files

I'm not sure what I can do at this point.

Had the same problem, at least for me running it as admin solved it

Just tried, didn't fix it :(

Ive had that a few times, where i cant talk to an npc. Leaving the area has worked a couple times. Doing another quest, and returning later, has worked a couple times. And saving and reloading has worked.

Sounds like that isnt working for you though. So idk.

Yeah, I can't even do other quests at all. Either the option to talk to the NPC is there but won't work as I press F or it doesn't even show up at all.
The only other thing that I thought would help was doing some Merlin Trials or picking up missing pages but that didn't trigger anything either.

The patching didn't fix my issue.
I also tried running the game as admin, it didn't fix it.
I just tried making a new character to see if it would somehow trigger my main one to accept/complete quests again, it didn't.

Nope, no news.
I keep checking the link that I posted above. People are commenting on it and voting, but it's still "open".

I've had the same issue-- not being able to start quests or interact with NPCs. I had the quest to attend transfiguration class at the time, and after attending, the bug went away. It's worth a go if you have that quest. After I did, I was able to talk/interact with people as usual.
