Doubt: When I capture a Hippog. or Thestral.. Can I use them as mounts?

I have the Story Hipp. but I wanted to know If, anytime in the game, we get to "capture" mounts.

I got both hipps and thest. in my vivariums, but I think they cant be used as mounts.. Is there a way?

Not as far as I know, no. THey just live in your vivarium, and you can only ride the Default Hippogriff, or the preorder black one / deluxe version thestral

stuff u capture is just for your vivarium afik (or to sell)

Hippo, Thestral and Graphorn are mounts

The thestral will appear in your mount slot if you have deluxe

I have the Dark Arts DLC which says it includes the Thestral mount...but I am level 30 and have the broom and Hippogriff only so far. I have caught and bred Thestrals, including a named female, but no mount...Is there something I need to do for the mount or do I just not get it?

yes (in case someone still wonders about this) you can mount the tree mountable beasts when you capture them, and have unlocked them.

Whoops, never mind! I had not noticed that on the Gear page it shows you Flying Mounts and I was able to shift to the Thestral from the Hippo by clicking on that...
