Voldemort vs your MC who would win?

If its the two characters plopped into a room and set against each other, it would be Voldemort. Even ignoring his Horcruxes, he has at least 70 years worth of experience on our character and the ability to use Ancient Magic can only go so far when the character cant really control it that well.

depending on if those things (i forgot the name) are destroyed or not would voldemort not care about said spell, he would just re-appear and getting rid of ya while your spell is on cool down XD.

His Horcruxes will be his downfall. Just means I can keep smashing him into the ground until he learns his mistake and destroys his cruxes himself to end the misery.

Our character is born prior to Voldemort's conception. We'd have far more experience and skill, especially given our affinity for the ancient magic, which we'd likely master by the time he is born and enters into his prime age.

Voldemort is supposed to have been a prodigy but I think it can be assumed our character is as well given the events of the game. Canonically, it can be implied that the MC doesn't struggle to solo 4 other students in the "magic fight club" despite it being their first year at Hogwarts (as a fifth year). I did this solo and on hard mode.

They dispatch a number of dark spellcrafters, goblins, ogres, and learn a number of spells (including curses) all within a short time frame. They would likely have access to a patronus as well, and mine was (according to the website) a fire-dwelling salamander.

Besides, the experts agree that anybody could have defeated Voldemort with appropriate skill + experience, so long as his horcruxes were not available. I mean, he lost to a baby. And then lost to that baby again when it aged.

Now, the MC versus Merlin in their primes would be a result where the MC is more likely to lose. Voldemort wouldn't stand a chance against Merlin whereas we would at least last more than a few seconds.

The story takes place 29 years before he's even born. Anyone losing to him is for whatever reason trying to fight him on his "best terms" and that's a weird fallacy.

Not only that, but our MC can Avada Kedavra multiple people at once via a talent.

Or we can use ancient magic and turn Moldy-Voldy permanently into a chicken. Or bring lightning on his head. Or explode him into his component atoms.

We are never going to meet, but we can rest easy in the fact that we would hand Voldy his head on a platter.

Not sure if Elder wand would give Voldy a chance, but I doubt it.

A lot of people here are forgetting Voldemort was essentially immortal because he hid parts of his soul in various places.
You could repeatedly kill him, but one one shot would permanently kill you.
