Spoiler discussion about Sebastian
Just making sure it wasn't an error in my playthrough but we all saw Sebastian shot first, right? We just sided with him because he's either our buddy/avada, right?

I mean I had already whipped his uncle into a big ol' pile of mulch anyway, so when he AK'd him it was just for a flashy finish.

Me and Ominis sent him to jail.
Ominis is now my new best friend.

During the fight? His uncle seemed intent on attack me, so I defended myself.

Afterwards, Sebastian really didn't seem very remorseful initially, the second or third time you speak to him this does change a little and when you speak to him again after the end he does seem genuinely sorry for his actions.

Him killing his uncle felt like it proved exactly why people shouldn't learn those curses, because it opens up the chance for them to be used when emotional or by instinct.

I feel like our character definitely shoulders some of the blame for the events. We convince Ominis to let him take the artifact and that we'll get him to agree that it goes no further. And then we never actually tell Sebastian that. We don't warn him to stop, or anything. We just say "It's fine, I convinced Ominis, don't worry about it".

Oh 100% I definitely felt like a manipulative and sh*tty "friend" pretty much throughout the entire Sebastian story-line, like the devil on his shoulder.

But hey that's the role play I decided to go with.

the uncle had it coming. both of them didnt handle the situation well at all but youd think his father figure would be more reasonable and not shout at him literally every second he gets. Also he did attack first and he was going to take his sister away and he wasn't even bothering to look for a cure. The first scene with him crushing the flower is just cruel. With his sister stuck with her uncle 24/7 it's clear he was manipulating her

But unless it was just some kind of graphical issue it looked to me like someone shot solomon first in the cutscene before the fight is what I'm saying. And while I'm happy to believe it was my character instigating a fight for fun I'm guessing that was Sebastian.

EDIT: nah i went back and looked at it on youtube, sebastian definitely attacked his uncle

Yeah, if I remember correctly after the uncle destroys the artifact Sebastian attacks him.
And then the uncle blames us as well.

That's what I thought.
Still, not like I mind, my character does NOT need a friend who has a crisis of conscience over a little bit of murder so Sebastian had to go. Ominis is next on the list.

Im going to go into reason why I personally didn’t turn Sebastian into the ministry.

Yes, Sebastian was angry… but it was not a pre-meditated act, it was a spur in the moment thing and he realised almost immediately he messed up. I believe it was genuinely a mistake, and it’s one that cost him his own sister and possibly his best friend Ominis. I saw no point in handing him in because when I said he went too far, he was aware of it and looked incredibly remorseful.

Sebastian in my eyes was so driven to finding a cure for his sister, he was struggling internally with how to deal with the inevitable death of her. His uncle was to blame for his own death, he dealt with Sebastian atrociously and not to mention he was the one who attacked first… If anything, what Sebastian did was self defence.

This was where my thinking was at.
I felt like if Hogwarts had a better headmaster who would actually understand that Sebastian needed help not just locking away then that would have been my preferred option.
