Skip intro
Man they really need to have the ability to skip the intro and go right to the sorting for multiple characters.

They should actually give you 100% on every new character after you make it to at least 90% with your first.

I saw someone say they wish you could arrive by Hogwarts Express at the start.
IMO if you finish the main story once, for future play throughs you should have the option to arrive that way and then go through the sorting hat.

My second character is a Slytherin, however I wanted to see the Ravenclaw common room. While I don't think the beginning is bad, for different play throughs it becomes tedious.

the begining is important because without it you know you miss half the story- like dealing with Ranrok

But if you beat it already why need to do it again
And the ability to skip tutorial messages. Going through everything four times is just tedious and feels like a complete waste of time.

Because it's still a linear story driven game. You'll just need to wait for mods like for Skyrim to give you RP options on where to start the game.

That said, I don't think it's a big deal to give an option like WOW does to skip content that's tedious once completed.

This is absolutely fair, however. I do subscribe to the idea that tutorials and time gating content is irrelevant once it's been completed at least once.

I wouldn't have an issue with having to repeat the intro on every single char I'm going to create, but that you can't do manual game saving during the intro is a slap in the face. I mean, what's the problem with saving the game? There are auto save points during the intro after all, so there's no real reason to forbid manual saving.

I bought the game.
I don't want to play the game, but my two kids want to see hogwarts, make a character and get sorted.

So does my mum, my wife, my 7 nephews and nieces.

They all want to find out which house they would be in, and explore the castle (With my moving the character).

We had this big plan where we would each get to do that.

Imagine the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustration to find out that we have to sit through a hour of NONSENSE that you cannot skip to get to the part of the game that a HUGE amount of people want.

My mum literally cant play video games. she wants to see her character, house common room, and explore the greenhouses. thats it.

So stupid from these devs, honestly.

There is an INSANE AMOUNT of exposition.

All the story before arriving at hogwarts could EASILY be done AFTER the sorting.

How about your character arrives on the hogwarts express, and its BEFORE the school year starts?

"we asked you to come to school early to catch up" and then you find the traces of magic in that connect to the maproom in hogwarts (cos you are free to roam before school starts) and THAT portkey takes you to gringotts....

How hard would that have been?

its also would give you a cool feeling cos you'd have a largely empty hogwarts, that suddenly fills with students. would be amazing.

the writing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible so far anyway, so why force us to listen to it.

I suppose the alternative is to make a save just before the sorting, then use the mod that lets you completely customize your character whenever and then go from there.

It's not optimal, but at least better than not being able to do it at all.

Solution there is mods now!
