If you have updated windows recent update, this may well be the problem. Today after rebooting everything returned (I left it over night and decided to give a fresh run at it today).
So try a reboot. If not, leave it a day and try again. If you haven’t updated yet…don’t until you back up save your game data just incase.
Can’t express how relieved I am ofc!
I unknowingly launched hogwarts legacy trying to play again, which lead to the steam cloud save only being created after restarting windows, essentially my 20hr playthrough is not accessible on the steam cloud to download and not in the SaveGame files - so I feel like it's gone for good.
Is that what happened to you? and what do you mean they just - came back ? Does the steam cloud grab an old save and load it in? Or did the old save appear in the cloud and you manually added it from there? I would love some insight as I am stressed that I've lost my 20 hour playthrough - thank you very much
