Should you learn the dark art?
The game make it a conundrum.. but come on, I want to get all the cool spell! It would be hypocritical not to side with Sebastian!

Anyway, the game doesn't sell the evilness of them quite well, and we do want to help Anne! For science mm, I mean magic!

I got the unforgivable curses.. and they make for great combos when spellcasting. Plus I want to help Anne.. as I am a humanitarian.

Game really doesn't land the whole "Choices" thing very well, or at least no consequences.

You can literally use avada kedavra in front of a crowd and no one even cares. Go for it

Personally I don't let a bunch of pure blood supremacists with a penchant for slavery dictate morals to me and I'd learn them whether I was trying to be good or evil. I reject the idea that you're morally better if you kill your attacker with an explosive blast to the face than giving them an instant death that lets their family have an open casket.

Not true. There are lines that will come from scripted companions Amit, poppy, natsai and of course Sebastian but above that not much consequences.

Learning them but not using them makes on evil?

The protagonist has the power of ancient magic and infinite charisma, nobody can find any fault to his actions! :D

There are no consequences to learning them for gameplay purposes.
There are only consequences for dialogue options regarding how you think characters should solve their conflicts.
This is, of course, in contrast to Harry Potter lore, where use of the unforgivable curses is... Well... Unforgivable.

The only thing that's going to happen from you learning them is if you start using the spells in front of ambient crowd NPCs, you might get sneers and grunts of disgust and disapproval. But it won't affect the story.

I mean Harry uses 2/3 of them in lore and I think he was forgiven

Yes - there is no down side to learning 3 unforgivable curses.
Other story is if you plan using them , if not not invest in Dark Art skill tree as no respecking in game.

yes, they are the games most powerful spell and there is absolutely no consequences for using them.. you can spam it all you want and nobody would even bet an eye... so feel free to abuse them.

I think the Ministry of Magic allows aurors or whoever else battling dark wizards to use the unforgivables too. Correct me if I’m wrong, thought I read it somewhere.

Mind control doesn't do anything against boss or Troll, damn, I want my money back!!!
Cant wait to test the death curse though!

My first character used Avada Kedavra quite a bit, that talent that makes it take down cursed enemies was just too good to pass up.
My Hufflepuff however has been to Azkaban so she's going to pass. She'll stick to Bombarda and Diffindo to sate her bloodlust.
