Working fine BEFORE update and AFTER update ULTRA Lag and Freezing (Low graphics worse than Medium-High??)

GPU: 2070 (8 gb vRAM)
CPU: I7-8750h
RAM: 16 GB
SSD
Drivers: All updated and all re-installed yesterday just to be sure.

As the title says, before the update I would run on recommended settings (Everything set to medium) and the game was really smooth and I had been playing for about 25 hours. I was utterly impressed honestly.

After the update, I just ran the game without changing any settings and it just freezes and lags everywhere with frame drops every 2-3 seconds to 5-10 FPS. i did not change any dang setting of course first. My game does not crash as it does for others and launch shaders appear to load just as fast as before update.

Yesterday I tweaked every possible graphical setting in the game and tried all possible combinations. Actually on low graphics its worse than on medium. To no avail.

If you have been experiencing the same symptoms, please comment here so we make ourselves heard. Perhaps a roll-back would be acceptable so we can play the game until the make a proper TESTED update.

Nvidia has yet to release game ready drivers, try rolling your driver back a version or 2.

did the update say anything about fixing the issue where it will delete your save files in game when you try to get back in the game? Had 25 hours and it did it to me twice to where i had to start a second character.

I did rollback the driver and also installed the Studio Nvidia Driver just to see if there is any difference. But just the same in all cases

Oh that must suck. Its the first comment I read about this issue honestly. Did you fiddle with the game files? Perhaps that could give you a clue

Can confirm, after the update the performance feels worse, unfortunately.
I finally had it running at stable 60FPS on DLSS Balanced, now I have to lower it to Performance for smooth gameplay.

Kinda irritating xD (Not that it makes a huge difference in quality, but still...)

amd hasn't had drivers for about a month now so i think they are behind as well. But i have noticed hogsmead is bad now. it stutters like crazy.

Its wild they let AMD and Intel beat them to the punch and they still haven’t released a driver yet.

Also, some are reporting that the Nvidia Studio drivers really help
