Is there a Slytherin quest to access the kitchen? I've found the right painting and I hear laughter but that's it.

Pretty sure that is only for Gryffindor's breadcrumb quest. Each house has a different exclusive one.

You're welcome. Not sure I understand what you mean by "Wait for the patch" though. Why would they patch that?

I found some other players on Reddit who can't access kitchen either, so I assume it has to be patched at some point. This is actually the first bug I've noticed. One bug, and one time when textures didn't want to load properly. Could be worse.

you can go in anyways. don't need a quest to get in there. it didnt let me in for a bit, so it may just be after you've been there for a while, but there is 2 scrolls in there, so you wouldnt be able to get 100% if they patched it out. just check back after you do some main quests.
