Do merlin challenges, then claim extra gear slots on the challenge screen.
superlloyd Feb 15, 2023 @ 10:09pm
the gear you wear on yourself already count for 7
also the gear count is the total of all gear on alll body part, not just the single body part you are looking at
when you go to a vendor, you will see all unworn gear in the sell box
There is no reason to keep gear you're not going to equip, once you obtain an item you can transmog to look like that item, no need to keep it. Just keep higher quality higher level items you will use and everything else should be sold to vendors between quests.

Complete merlin trials to gain more inventory space.

I do agreed Inventory management in this game is annoying especially in early game. I miss some loot in the main story even I am well prepared selling my gears. I cannot even go back to those loot.

Inventory management just forces you to do exploration and puzzle in this game which is the game core mechanics of this game. In late game gears barely matter anymore even you go min/max. Acquiring higher tier gear is easy and upgrading them if you did Room of Requirement stuff.

The inventory size limit was a moronic idea in the first place, especially when you just transmog everything anyway.

you do the merlin trials to increase your space, an delete all greens, they're not worth the spot they take up for the gold they net. Also visit merchants out in the world often to unload when you're not teleporting back to hogsmeade.

i did that and i still dont have many slots

it should be like assassans creed where i can have like 20 or so robes and 20 or so gloves and 20 or so hats .etc

i hate finding chests only to be met with "your gear slots are full"

its absurd

i just want to sell them so i keep them to sell in a heap

nothing should be wrong with that

It takes a few seconds to sell your stuff, and there are vendors everywhere. Just sell your unwanted stuff every time you pass by. Then transmog into anything you've previously found. Simple.

Seriously, once I figured out the item system in this game, I never ran out of space.

Plus, doing a few Merlin trials is really no big deal - most take less than 1min to complete.

Then play with some strategy. If you are going to do something new like a main quest, be sure you sold all your stuff. Its not like it takes long, you can easily fast travel to the hogsmeade potion shop for fast selling. You need money to buy all the spellcraft recipes and seeds anyway. Do merlin trials to increase your slots to 40, that will help out a lot.

Its really not that big of a deal if you use your brain a bit.

i do use my brain abit and i find your notions insulting

maybe instead of being complacent we could actually improve the game that much more

if everyone was complacent with the performance being odd then they would not have fixed that either

i have yet to find a single vendor in hogwarts

edit: yes there is some in hogsmeade but it does not solve the issue of the small inventory

what if i am on a quest bender and collecting things as i go and enjoying myself and planning to sell after a few small quests to net a bigger profit before bigger quests like i would in assassans creed odyessy

I know this thread is ancient. But as I am just now playing and this was one of the first results… you can’t even sort/filter your gear. It’s not in an order that makes sense. And you have to sell one by one. Aside from several game breaking bugs… this is the next biggest pita. It’s a super basic QOL

based on what you say its still a current issue which is shameful as the premise of exploration and gathering things is excessively hobbled by the very puny inventory slot count which nuxs out any new thing found from those chests because it vanishes simply because there wasnt an open slot for it

Yeah this is one of the things that frustrateds me the most... how can the devs be so stupid to have such a terrible inventory management in game where you collect and gather things!? This whole game sucks because of it
