Bug in The Helm of Urtkot - help

Lodgok is stuck in The Hogshead and I cant continue the main quest. Would love some help

Ive looked this up for the past 5 hours dont waste your time please save yourself the headache , i dont think there is a fix at all it is up to the devs now i keep telling everyone to report it so they know because at this point you gotta either go back in your saves and load one up from before the quest witch most people do not have unless its like towards the start of the game or a couple lvs below what they are now witch is dumb i dont suggest doing that because it was a waste of your time but you can if you plz you just lose everything gear wise like mount and anything you picked up. The other thing to do right now witch it seemed like everyone is doing that has ran into this is starting a new wizard and playing thru it until they put a fix out then will go back to that wizard. It is not the best but you can always just start in a new house to play thru so it not a waste of time .Also these are small things ive found playing around with it but still doesnt help the bug at all but i want the info to be know if you go to the secret room you will see lodgok at the next location on your map but the moment you leave the room or tp to a area in hogwarts he goes back to the bar. idk what casue this to happen but for me i talked to him before i got off and i either saved the game or just logged off like right after talking to him and looking at the map to see the next location and the next time i loaded up the game i went to him and he was bugged in the chair at the bar so just make sure on your next play thru if they dont fix it save after every main quest and dont get off if your either about to start a main quest or end a main quest or talk to someone

I reloaded the Autosave with The Helm of Urtkot quest and Lodgok moved to the witch tomb location. Check if this works for you

Been stuck on this quest for nearly a week now, finished every other possible side quest, unlocked all floo flames, beat all battle arenas and bandit camps. I have pretty much nothing else to do except random treasure vaults and merlin trials. Kind of ridiculous they haven't patched such a game breaking bug already.

He was stuck for me as well, but I went out and did other things for a while and then came back a few hours later and he just magically moved to the spot to start the mission.

Stuck as well and have been for a few days. Have done other things and he just sits at the table.

It worked perfectly well for me and I haven't noticed any side effect since then. But I strongly recommend to keep a backup of the original unchanged savegame files, as explained in the video.
