Room of Requirement Expansions

I have been looking all over to find out when exactly the expansions happen for the room. The beast ones I get, but looks like from images I have seen that the downstairs room opens up HUGE, but I was curious as to when in the story-line it happens if anyone knows please. I have a wall that is bugged downstairs that I can't customize because it says it is in use when it isn't. :( Figured once the expansion of the room happens it will be ok.

Normally this happens when you're in the room of requirement. You must talk to Ms. Weasly, test out everything she tells you to do with the decorations. After all that the room below should expand on it's own.

As you acquire more beasts you get more vivariums.

That larger room downstairs? That expands rather late in the main story line, but I can't remember the exact point in time. I think it happens at some point after the fourth trial, but I'm not entirely sure about what really triggers it. I had all four vivariums at that point and started to breed beasts, but not sure that's got something to do with the expansion of that downstairs room.

What? The room expanded the second i had done the "tasks" Weasly gave me trying things in the room. After that i got the 3 other vivariums.
I've 100% the game (except for the "impossible" to get last couple of collectables), and the room is as it was after the first expansion.

It did get bigger pretty late in the game for me, the walls got a lot higher, there were additional bookshelves high up, and the walls expanded backwards, too. I have no idea what triggered that, though. Maybe completing one of the beast challenges and/or side quests; I put some of those off until after I had finished the main story line. My best guess is that it's connected to one of the beast challenges.

For me, that expansion definitely wasn't tied to one of Weasley's Room of Requirement quests, I did those the minute they popped up, and as I said, I already had all four vivariums and bred a few beasts when the expansion happened. I was just as surprised as my character :)

Only thing i haven't done through is breed all beasts (missing at least the big one).

I don't think breeding all the beasts is the trigger - I didn't bother with breeding them all because rescuing some of the species was a bit tiresome. It's a mystery :)

That 2nd room expands itself after you finish the main story.

the first time I went to the RoR after that and went in there (maybe I had to walk halfway into the room or something, I forget) it started the expansion cutscene.

After you beat the final boss and before OWLs, if you move down into the lower room, it does indeed expand again to double the original size. You still have the same slots though for stations.

The second room expands bigger at the end.
