Plants No Grow when Lonely?

I was surprised to find that my "Room of Necessity" growing tables cease all growth when I'm out of the room. Is this by design? If so, I say BOOOOOO!

Is it when you completely log out or just leave the room? Because nothing grows or does anything when you are completely signed off.

They are supposed to grow as long as you are in-game.

Mine do.

AS long as you're loaded into the Save the clock's shoudl tick down.
You don't have to be in the "Room" itself, jsut ingame.
