Low FPS on an RTX 3080

Frame stuttering and really low fps on most graphic settings. Anyone found a resolution to this problem?

Congratulations on the 3080, the 10GB version of the card is two and a half years old and I'm sorry that you believed the leather jacket (Jensen) that 10GB was enough.

I have a 3080 10G myself and I feel sorry for all the people who had to pay +$1000 a year ago to play on medium settings now. The same goes for the 4070Ti of course. Minimum for high-end is 16GB VRAM currently.

Solution? 1440p without RTX on High Settings and DLSS Balanced = +60fps with sluttering.

DISABLE DLSS, it sucks in this game.
Set AA to the new thing, disable RTX.

With everything ultra on 1440p it was a much smoother expierence. I also limited the fps ingame to 120 to reduce the spikes.

Ive tried these setting im not even getting spikes im getting overall low fps. I will try limit the fps its the only thing i haven't tried

No matter what I do i can not seem to fix the stuttering problem, run on lowest graphics studders, tried the mod fix from nexus...studders. I am running an i7-9700 with a 2060 super here i get 160-200 fps when stationary but the second i start moving drop to between 30-5 fps

13900k 4090 i just locked my fps to 60 to remove stutters nothing more annoying than fps going from 130 down to 66 fps when opening doors in the castle

I updated dlss to the new version and did the same as in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7ASsPa5VLE

fixed most of the lags and stuttering for me.

well i tried this video (3060ti and 16 gb ram but have fps drop and freeze problem after the patch) and it was really helpful for my fps problem! its not very good still but atleast playable, thanks a lot

I have a R9 5900X, 3070 Ti, 1 TB SSD 4400 MB/s, 1440p, 32 GB DDR4 3600 MHz DRAM.

I run about 80-90 FPS when I limit it to max 90 in NVIDIA settings and 80-117 FPS when I limit it to 120 FPS. I have DLSS Balanced on with all Medium settings and some low settings (NPC quality, Sky quality, Fog quality)

I have Resizable Bar on, tuned my BIOS for PBO, manually updated DLSS to the most current version, and overclocked my GPU automatically using MSI Afterburner and downloaded the Ascenido Mod.

RTX 3080 low card, was dead on arrival 2-3 years ago with it's measly 10GB vram.

Accept that the 3080 is a failure, I did. The card should have had 16gb VRAM.
Won’t make that mistake again when buying a 5000x series gpu.

Yeah, get the PS5 version. Not hating, that truly is the only solution to this. I also have the 3080 and ran the game at 720p low graphics preset, still stutter.
