How far do I have to play to get beasts?
I had my first beast lesson and I met the Hippogriff. How far do I have to progress further to get my own beasts?

If you're at that point, look out for a side quest from Deek, and the first vivarium will be unlocked

Ahh, great. Thank you. I thought I have to progress the main quests more.

Do the side missions with Onai and you will get the hippogriff. Thestrals have to be captured from their dens.

The non flying transportation beast is a very late game unlock as part of main campaign.
