Does it really make sense to try to force these characters into every piece of fiction that gets produced now when it necessarily results in a detraction from the story?
If the character being trans means the character has to be a single dimensional character so everyone knows they are trans and being trans is their entire identity then that character has no more reason to exist in the story than Riker had to be in Star Trek: Nemesis when there was nothing for him to do or necessary contribution to make to further the story.
ps. I have zero problems with Sirona Ryan, other than how empty Three Broomsticks appears most of the time.
as its never been inferred that anything other then poly-juice potion can change ones appearance.
Heck, she probably does and I'm happy to call her "she" because magic means that wizards and witches can change the entire body, the organs, and probably even the chromosomes and reproduction organs. They are even taught to turn animals into goblets as 12 year olds.

Also, the books cannot pass voice across. Therefore, the notion that whoever made her body into (the shape of?) a biological female rather well, yet screwed up her vocal cords so badly won't be so jarring as it is in-game.
But what annoyes/amuses me to the equal and immense extent is the idea that in some parallel universe instead of LGBT-bla-bla-bla-plus community, alt-left went with Goths, BDSM enthusiasts, golden shower connoisseurs and gingers. Same arguments, different groups used as both bludgeons and living shields.
People saying she's one dimensional say nothing like that about the various random side characters that barely have any development or back story i'm pretty sure there are several characters that don't have as much back story as this one but because she's trans somehow now its a one dimensional character.
People need to get tf over this.
Actually, in the books the voice DOES carry over. It's in the movies that it doesn't.
