You skip her because you are upset about politics instead of enjoying the game. Thanks for buying this "woke" game that supports diversity and LGBT existing because such people do exist.
For kids Sebastian and Poppy make the most sense as characters so far. One has something going on, an actual problem. The other just likes animals. These are things you can find in the real world.
Also it's cool to have someone from Ugandan magic school.
Where's my Ilvermorny friend though?
1) Slytherin characters are exactly who I expected 19th century's Slytherin to be represented by. They are British, classy and embody the house values well. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about other houses. Ravenclaw is the guy who throws around dung bombs, ugh. And don't get me started on Amit and Natty. The amount of foreign students and professors is overwhelming considering the overall number of characters, and I just can't bring myself to view them as anything other than token diversity additions.
2) Somebody said spells are "the ultimate carrot" in this game, and rightly so, because combat, puzzles and quests - all depend on it. Having given Sebastian 4 spells to teach us - the sought-after Avada Kedavra among them - the devs doomed him to be most popular. The others just pale in comparison. I still haven't played Natty's nor Poppy's questlines - I don't find them exciting, and there are no spells, abilities, mechanics or otherwise associated with them, so why bother.
One would find such a pragmatic outlook on friends weird, but it's only fair given they're no true companions that follow you around the world, you can't romance them and basically all your interactions with them are tied to the respective quests.
"That's how it's done!" she boasted arrogantly, as she snagged only 30 points.
I have created multiple characters, and I can't bring myself to ever take Natsai with me to Hogsmeade. She's just the worst.
Nah hes just french, Ominis on the other hand.
