Female main character looks ugly in game
I spent 30-40minutes to create a beautiful female character only to see she looks super ugly and wide face in-game. The character looks way different between char creator and in game. However male chars look exactly the same as char creator and in game.

I want to believe this is just a bug and not purposely made. I wish i created male though i regret everything. I'm way too in to change now, if you are starting now, just a heads up for you.

You don't understand. They looks waaay different than they are in character creator menu. It's like a nigh and day difference, check bug report page you'll see many screenshots there.

The Ladies in the game are definitely not Babes.

It is incredible how bad it is and its not a bug--it is a design choice. The face and head you design is hardly ever represented in the game. Instead we get a hideous sneering hag of a face in most of the game and all cut scenes. When I turn camera looking back at my character he head turns at awkward angles and seems barely attached to the neck. Horrible horrible character design and I believe this was intentionally misrepresented in trailers and marketing for the game. I wanted to play this but this is just so bad

do you honestly belive that the developers intentionally made the female characters ugly?
Jesus christ...

So far as I could tell, all the female faces had a major case of fat-face IN the character creator, and they don't look all that different in-game. That and most of them look super androgynous, much like the male faces. But hey, you just gotta make do with what you have. The right hairstyle can help mitigate the fat-face issue.

What baffles me more than the ugly faces themselves is the fact that so many people can't see it. I swear those who claim it's fine must be either outright blind or at least somewhat visually impaired (and they also never post any evidence).
Is there anyone who'd say with a straight face that the character on the left looks the same as the one on the right on my example?

Same deal here. Personally I think it's a bone rigging issue and the facial expressions are over-animated to make them look right on a variety of heads, which results in a lot of them breaking at even the slightest facial expression. Could be wrong though.

Personally, the teeth are the most hideous thing on my female character...

i hope they fix female faces. now the only way to play with a female char is with a full helmet on . mods available don't improve this much

It seems like the game was gonna be one of those that have no female MC but they hastily added them at the end to reach a bigger audience.

This bug possibly happens because the female face uses the male facial rig which is exclusive to males. That's why almost all females tend to look manly when having short haircuts. Their face proportions change to fit in the male 'chassis.' This face "squash" bug coupled with the prominent cheekbones, large jaws, and the long and crooked noses of the preset models make for some horrifying-looking characters. And some terrible facial animations (the female MC is constantly grimacing like she smelled something foul).

Also, if you pay attention, when the female character looks to the side, you can see a huge Adam's Apple on their neck; there's pictures of this on the bug report.
I could see that if they had an all male hogwarts but theirs plenty of npcs that have normal looking faces, why couldnt they just copy the skeleton and all that and designate it to a female player.

i got like 14 missions in on my last character and just ended up deleting him because i wanted to change the appearance. i almost wish there was a plastic surgeon in hogsmeade.. or, a "magical configuration master" so you could change ur face without restarting

NPC faces and MC faces are a completely different facial rig. It doesn't work like that.

You must have noticed, for instance, how generic and expression-less the NPC students are. Not to mention that there are only 3 copy-pasted versions of the same student face, just with different hair and hair color each time.
