Hrm no...It'd be great though, being able to sleep in the dorm vs. how at present my char falls asleep in a pile in the hallway while waiting for class to start, like some degenerate.

yes, you can in 3 caves i think,with the chess puzzles, chair only.

You cant either sleep in game, you can roam in castle freely during the nighttime, without any penalties, unlike it was in movies. Literally no curfew system with prefects patrolling the castle
