my game automatically sets my graphics on low even with my settings saved and i can't change them
i usually have most of them on medium and the most important ones on high/ultra, but today when i started playing everything went on low for no reason and even if i try to reset the settings it doesn't change anything. i whent to main menu, went back, exited the game two times, same result, it just pops back on stupid potato graphics. my settings are saved on medium/high/ultra but everything is on low. i had this issue two times before but it was fixed after i went to main menu and came back. Now after this patch i can't have the graphics i want even if i set them. is this fixable?

Check that you don't have Geforce experience auto optimizing function on, if you have an Nvidia GPU.

Funny thing is that i didn't even know that app existed until you mentioned it, and even though i have Nvidia i don't have that specific app, just the control panel lol

How do you upgrade your drivers without having the app? You should consider getting it, if you never updated your driver. (no need to say that this is most certainly your issue, if drivers are not up to date)

I've installed it but it seems my driver is pretty recent...at least i don't see any other driver update avaliable

tried to set the gameusersettings.ini on read only as advised somewhere else, still potato quality, have geforce experience with auto optimizing off, nothing

Same here. My game was fine before this last patch. Now it looks awful. It was beautiful, but now everyone looks like the sims 2

You dont need the Geforce Experience app to update your drivers, its a 100% optional component. You can download the drivers from Nvidia, and during the install pick the option to only install the drivers instead of drivers plus the app. Manually updating when a new game comes out isnt difficult and saves you from running an extra app in the background all the time.

tried to fix it deleting the gameusersettings.ini file (no use) and then the whole WindowsNoEditor folder, still nothing.

i'm trying everything to fix it. It's just horrible. I didn't buy this game to play it in potato graphics.

Also fine before the patch (quite a beautiful game normally, especially Hogwarts) and can still change settings, but textures are super broken even on low, and I'm on high end team red. :steamfacepalm: :steamsad:

That's the problem I'm having. I had my graphics on Ultra (even though the recommended setting was Low. I wanted my game to look pretty and it was still playable even with the lag) but now everything looks even worse after the update. I hope they fix this soon
