HOGWARTS LEGACY - FIX STUTTERING
Hello Community,

i tried a lot of Settings to solve Stuttering iussue in Hogwarts Legacy and i found a Solution for everyone (also for G-Sync monitor).

In order to eliminate stuttering Turn OFF V-SYNC in game and also in Nvidia Control Panel and then set in Nvidia Panel the Monitor Technology: FIXED REFRESH RATE (only for Hogwarts app).

At the end set in game FPS LIMIT to 60 or 75 FPS (Depends on your FPS).

Tips: i recommend to NOT MODIFY game Files trying to improve Performance, only thing you can do set in Nvidia Panel the Shader Cache to 10GB or more if you have enough Disk Space.

RECAP:

GRAPHICS SETTINGS :

GRAPHICS QUALITY: USE RECOMMEND SETTINGS (Game Benchmark)
RAY TRACING: OFF (Too Heavy to Handle)

DISPLAY OPTIONS:

UPSCALE TYPE: OFF (Better) or DLSS (Balanced)

NVIDIA REFLEX LOW LATENCY: ON+BOOST (in game) and OFF (Nvidia Panel)

VSYNC: OFF (in game and Nvidia Panel)

FRAME LIMIT: 60 or 75 (as you like)

EFFECTS: ALL ON (Game looks better)

UPDATE: Download Nvidia Driver 531.18

Try it out, let me know if worked for you.

Enjoy the Game :steamhappy:

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.

NVIDIA REFLEX LOW LATENCY: ON+BOOST (in game) and OFF (Nvidia Panel)

This is totally useless as the settings in your control panel are prioritized over the app/game.

Will try to see if it fix stutter issue and frame drops.
The best mod to get rid of FPS and stuttering.
And yes this is my own mod.
Feel free to test it :)

Is currently the most current what there is. Next week comes an adjustment for clouds and shadows and a RT optimization.

Hello Kylvan,

the way to enable Reflex low latency is disable it on Nvidia Panel and enable it in game.

A lot of people don t know this.
Belkov Feb 28, 2023 @ 8:15am
what worked for me is rolling back to the 528.24 drivers on both my desktop (3070) and laptop (3060) without any edits to the.ini file.

Hello,

No, as i've said it doesn"t do that. Control Panel is primary over ANY settings in app or games.

He is a scammer disabling comments on it's own mod because it tells magic solutions and don't accept accurate critiscim when someone said it doesn't work as intended. There is atm no magic solution.

The game runs craps and can be smoother but with some other issues as bad textures and visual bugs.

NVIDIA REFLEX LOW LATENCY: ON+BOOST (in game) and OFF (Nvidia Panel)

Nvidia reflex in game override nvidia low latency in nvidia so, not need to off that.

You want fight like that? Okay.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/reflex-low-latency-platform/#ultra-low-latency-mode

If a game supports the NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency mode, we recommend using that mode over the Ultra Low Latency mode in the driver. However, if you leave both on, the Reflex Low Latency mode will take higher priority automatically for you.

Have a nice day.

There is not 2 simple choices.

There is 3 modes in the driver for NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency : Deactivate, Activate and Ultra.

Your quote spoke of the "Ultra" mode in the driver for the "low latency mode".

So if you just put " Low Latency Mode " with the " Activate " mode in the driver it will have the priority. However, if you use " Ultra " mode in the driver and just activate low latency mode in the game, the low latency mode in the game may take high priority.

Why " May " ? Because a driver is intented to be the primary instructor to the engine by design and it's just common sens. So maybe this isn't the case anymore.

So this " NVIDIA REFLEX LOW LATENCY: ON+BOOST (in game) and OFF (Nvidia Panel) " is none sens.

Right, files in game are ok and anyone have to modify them !

But online a lot of people write wrong things !!

Also Disable the Control Flow Guard (CFG) is NOT RIGHT ! (Security Reason)

I have no issue setting fps cap to 141 ( 3 below 144). Telling people to cap their fps to 60 is a arbitrary suggestion not based on any real facts.
Also the stutter people have been fighting has nothing to do with Gsync. Don't tell people to turn it off, or to use fixed refresh rate. Again, you're just throwing changes at the wall hoping they stick.
VRR will HELP with stutter, not make it worse.

Is a good video.

The one singular advice you may have got right is shader cache to 10gb.

It is absolutely "right". No one is attacking you or your Hogwarts install. For "security reasons" you don't do this globally.

Ok, but some changes for me are not to do.

FPS cap yes is a personal preference, with 75 fps cap the game feels more linear without fps drop, beacuse some areas you can do 120 fps and others 60 fps, just for this.
