Can't fly the broom?

I've done the broom training, beaten the broom race and bought myself a personal broom. But I can't mont/fly it anywhere? I know it is blocked within Hogwarts, but even out in the wild pressing the "take off" key does nothing!? I've tried to remap the key, but nothing happens... Is there something I miss?? :(

Never mind... I mounted it through the "tool wheel"... no idea why the take off key doesn't work. Or is that for flying mounts?

Yeah, You press the tool wheel button and then mount button to make it work.
