Hair color for house?
Red for Gryffindor, Blonde for Hufflepuff, Black for Slytherin, but what about Ravenclaw? It's colors are blue and gold, which should mean blonde, but the robes have a copper trim instead of gold, which would mean auburn hair. Any ideas?
Incidentally: I picked red originally for my character just because I love gingers.

Not a fan of fake hair unless the game calls for it, like Cyberpunk.

He obviously meant unnatural hair color.

Dyes have existed for thousands of years. Your "unnatural" is my "Hell yeah."

I don't know why OP chose black for slytherin since it's literally not even on house emblem anywhere.
Red for Griffs works, Slytherin could be that kind of super pale blonde that's almost white/sliver, or blonde in general.
Then you have Hazel/brown hair for Hufflepuff since it's shades of yellow and brown for the "comfy hufflepuff" and raven black for Ravenclaw.
If you use hair dyes then obviously the issue solves itself

Um brown hair is a thing

OPer are you forgetting that people with Brunette hair exist?

I also think ginger makes more sense for Hufflepuff because of Professor Garlick who is the very example of a Hufflepuff and she is a Ginger.

A LOT of people are under the impression a lot of things are modern when they are, in fact, thousands of years old, including blue hair (dyes in general, as you said), trans people, third genders, and more. History needs to be taught properly so people don't think all these things were invented in the last 10 years.

Anyway, rant aside, I would argue that this game DOES call for hair colors outside what we Muggles have. It's a game about a magic world where anything goes. Remember the "Don't call me Nymphadora" scene? Girl's hair turned blue or purple or something.

Dying your hair does not make it fake. You've never died your hair before. I died my hair blue once when I was a punk rock kid. It's fun. Getting old sucks
I died too, but that's beside the point.

My real question is... Red for Gryffindor ?
How can you have a natural red ? I mean, even red-headed are more in the orange spectrum not actually red.
As Gryffin are scarlet and gold, you're going blonde.
Slyther being green and silver, you're going on a really whiter shade of pale (and nobody have that reference... Damn bein' old...)
Raven being blue and bronze, I guess auburn would be the most logical
Huffle being yellow and black, no surprise, you should choose yell... Aww... Black.

But that just how otters see colors, don't mind me, I'll eat some fish&shell over there, in the lack.

You are not born with blue hair, it doesnt matter if the blue dye is "natural" it is not your natural hair color. That is what OP meant, stop being so quibble.

Magic world. Different rules apply.

The OP set the rules that they themselves wanted to follow, I do not understand why this is so hard for so many of you to understand.

Nymphadora for taking the example already said, is pretty much born with "whatever the color of the moment is". With actually no control over the thing as it's related to emotions (like every magic and spell into this world)

But well, that's just us yelling "Don't put your muggles standard on our house you muggle !" Don't mind us... Muggle. (... ... ... That reference is way better if you're imagining me being Lamar and not an otter...)

So citing the lore and how the world of the game is and work isn't beside the point actually.

Do you dress yourself in the morning, or do you have to have someone help you?

Harry Potter was supposed to go to Slytherin. But he begged the hat not to be put there.
