Dyes have existed for thousands of years. Your "unnatural" is my "Hell yeah."
Red for Griffs works, Slytherin could be that kind of super pale blonde that's almost white/sliver, or blonde in general.
Then you have Hazel/brown hair for Hufflepuff since it's shades of yellow and brown for the "comfy hufflepuff" and raven black for Ravenclaw.
If you use hair dyes then obviously the issue solves itself
I also think ginger makes more sense for Hufflepuff because of Professor Garlick who is the very example of a Hufflepuff and she is a Ginger.
Anyway, rant aside, I would argue that this game DOES call for hair colors outside what we Muggles have. It's a game about a magic world where anything goes. Remember the "Don't call me Nymphadora" scene? Girl's hair turned blue or purple or something.
My real question is... Red for Gryffindor ?
How can you have a natural red ? I mean, even red-headed are more in the orange spectrum not actually red.
As Gryffin are scarlet and gold, you're going blonde.
Slyther being green and silver, you're going on a really whiter shade of pale (and nobody have that reference... Damn bein' old...)
Raven being blue and bronze, I guess auburn would be the most logical
Huffle being yellow and black, no surprise, you should choose yell... Aww... Black.
But that just how otters see colors, don't mind me, I'll eat some fish&shell over there, in the lack.
But well, that's just us yelling "Don't put your muggles standard on our house you muggle !" Don't mind us... Muggle. (... ... ... That reference is way better if you're imagining me being Lamar and not an otter...)
Well ...
So citing the lore and how the world of the game is and work isn't beside the point actually.
