UPDATED! Fix for low fps + stuttering
I got RTX 3080, Ryzen 9 3950x 16 core and i am getting a lot of stuttering and ghosting no matter what setting i choose {low - ultra}
anyone else have this issue?

EDIT SOLUTION FOUND!
After trying all fixes the only thing that helped me is changing the upscaler from DLSS to FSR2 now I can play with about 60fps minimal stuttering and running ultra everything with Raytracing on 1440p

Preach this one to the rafters, as people tend to dismiss FSR as being inferior to DLSS... But it's not always the case performance wise, and it's not always the case graphics wise either. I know there's a mod to use FSR in any DLSS enabled game and in Control, the one of the DLSS/Ray Tracing poster childs.. they claim it actually looks better than DLSS

Seeing as the Steam Deck has 16GB of RAM, that should be enough.

Use winmemorycleaner (look it up, its on github) run it and click clean up memory once you load into the game. game hasnt used more than 12gb after doing that.

16gb is enough if you're playing at 1080, if your at 1440 or 4k you'll need 32.

The thing is that WINDOWS runs in background. Usually with 4GB, so you have 12GB for a Game.

IF that game needs a little bit more, let me say 14GB RAM, then it will ends in a slideshow because your RAM is completely overflowing and windows is swapping the data to the virtual RAM on your hard drive.

So in this case (Hogwarts Legacy) 16GB is on the edge

This game is just horribly optimized. Im running a 3080 with 32gb ram and even on my 1080p monitor it stutters sometimes.

People listing specs and "running on these settings" aren't saying if they're running ray tracing or not. Ray tracing, at least from my minimal testing, uses more memory on both system and GPU.

I have a Ryzen 9 5900X, 128GB of RAM, and an RTX 4080. I don't use ray tracing at all. All settings at ultra, I play at 1440p and I normally play 120+ FPS all the time.

It's not just system memory it uses, people are overlooking vram as well. One of the things you can do to improve performance, close all browsers. Also make sure you close any active steam windows (since it uses chromium). It's sometimes not a whole lot, but if your on the edge of requirements, every little bit can help. If you don't believe me, open Task Manager, switch to GPU. Now up your Friends window in steam and watch your GPU utilization go up just a bit. Now close the friends window and you'll see the drop.

Native 1440p@120+FPS? Come on...

Nope, I play on Ultra and have no issues. I have a low end PC too. Strange.
