Cant change video settings?

No matter what i choose, low, medium, high, ultra - doesnt matter. The textures are always on low potato quality. I set everything on ultra and literally nothing changes. I already restarted the game, no effect.

You change the game settings and nothing happens, sounds like you might be running a potato.

i get the same issue with some settings it's aggravating.

!!! I found a fix, solved all my issues so passing it on here:

Go to C:\Users\Your User\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
(If you can't find AppData folder go to View settings then Show/Hide and select hidden items)
Then find the file called Engine, make a backup of this file (copy and paste it to your desktop) then right click on the one in the WindowsNoEditor folder and select Open With and choose notepad
Now scroll to the bottom of the text and paste this then save it:

r.OneFrameThreadLag=1
r.FinishCurrentFrame=0
r.TextureStreaming=0
r.Streaming.PoolSize=2048

If you are unsure of your pc's ram change r.Streaming.PoolSize=1024 to try a lower setting first

Maybe try if you have a Nvidia card try use the settings in Nvidia Experience it shouls set the game to best settings.

Go to C:\Users\Busta\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Delete GameUserSettings.ini and change the settings inside the the game again, will save this time.
