What's the deal with the statues?

The ones in Hogwarts, with the guy holding an orb up and a wand in his other hand. Googling just tells me about the demiguise statues, which aren't the same thing at all

Too many people giving out spoilers on this forum. A simple hint would have been better. I am rubbish at games like this and I figured it out pretty quickly.

I did that, I swear! Hand to god I cast every spell I had and it did nothing, lol

If telling someone which spell to use on a particular fixture in the game world makes me a spoil sport, I guess I'll have to live with being a cretin. I tend to think of spoilers as something that rob someone of the excitement or intrigue of a given game or storyline, but if Levioso statues are riveting gameplay... my bad.
